Its like a personal ID number sort of like a social security number, no one else has it!

Shifty is right, it comes with the game and is coded to the Product code key number and when one installs the game and logs onto a server it will show up on that server's rcon program. GUID stands for game unique identifier as Agent K said. When someone gets kicked or banned we use it to make sure that we have taken action with the right player. Dont EVER give your product code key to someone unless you are prepared for what might happen because of what that person may do while on different servers.

Oh... i get it... that's what the key code is for... so this means even if you change a name, you still have same GUID? That's why you can re-enter it in multiplayer game options

Do you guys store info for players ID's if they've been hacking?

We have ban file on all players that are banned and all MsM members.

These file assist all Mods/SuperMods and Admin when unban request are posted ect.

Once you increase in rank and have more responsibility you will have access to more areas on the forums. You only see about half of what is actually there.
