Well, here is the latest in the Terminator/Team Speak saga........

I bought an inexpensive Logitec (sp?) headset with mic (about $20). Took it home and plugged it in to the PC. Downloaded Team Speak and logged in to our location. I could see everyone's name and hear everyone just great. No one could hear me, and I was causing an echo. I muted myself to eliminate the echo. I went through all of my PC's mic settings and it tested okay. What gives?

My son has the best Turtle Beaches money can buy for his XBOX 360. I am going to try those I think and steal them from him if they work. he he. Would that be bad parenting? :-0

idk if xbox mics would work on a comp. my headset won't work on computer but i have a cheap one

If the mic was near the speakers, it was probably picking up that sound and overriding your voice. I use a mic and headset and I use push to talk instead of open mic. Try those.

I prefer the push to talk. Would actually be nice if everyone did it. A bit distracting listening to every cough, sneeze, throat clear, phone ringin dog barkin, etc. in the background. With a good set of headphones you can hear footsteps, gun reloads, and so on in the game, it helps. Not trying to be anti social but when I'm into a serious game thats why I spend most of my time in the quiet channel.

Oh! and the typing of some peoples keyboards ya know? but that stuff doesnt bother me all that much i just play

Ya the biggest thing for me is hearing footsteps ... especially on No run and gun ... Thats why I will chill in the sniper channel sometimes ...

It's all good now, got it figured out and working.... my head set that is.

Well, I spoke too soon. I am buying a better headset. My mic doesn't work on the Logitec headset I have.

Terminator, When you start to log onto team speak and you see the upgrade window pop up, you should do the upgrade always. They tweak the server on ts 3 every so often and if you dont up grade you wont get the sound quality.
