That article is incorrect.

Call of Duty multiplayer is still free, you don't have to pay for that. The CoD Elite is a paid service that allows players to keep track of their scores, K/D, and individual gun stats and so one so they can compete competitively in ranked matches. It also creates a community for the CoD world, much like a facebook just for CoD gamers, in which ranked matches, scrims, and GB can be recorded and shared. The CoD Elite allows player to directly upload videos to the sight with the theater mode that comes with the subscription, basically kinda what Black Ops does now, but improved since theater mode sucks on BO.

My point is that if activision starts tinkering with cod.. their liable to mess something up

seems like a waste but there's the people that will pay for that. I gave up on all CoD's besides this one. They dish them out to fast and just don't entertain me anymore. I still jump on mw2 or blk ops here and there just for fun. do pretty good which is sad lol

The newer Cods are WAAAAYYYY to expensive. 60$ for Black ops. Then they give you the map packs you can buy which is 30$ more. C'mon Activision

Lol I have gotten more enjoyment out of my $12.00 CoD cd that I purchased about 5 years ago than any other piece of entertainment I have ever had in my life. If someone would have told me that 12 bucks would lead to so much playing fun, meeting new people, talks on ts, yells from my wife (TOO LONG ON COMPUTER) and not to mention the almost 2nd job I have in taking care of stuff, I would have laughed at them but sure enough its been the best 12 I have ever spent I suppose. LOL

I got it for 9.99 at wal-mart. Money well spent. IMO sequels rarely ever are better than the original. CoD, Grand theft Auto, Predator, Aliens, Mario, Zelda, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon... well you get the picture.
