To my buddies out east

I am hoping all the MsM members out east are getting through this early snow storm ok. I can say I know what you are going through. This stuff usually happens in ND not New Jersey. I pray you are all well and safe. Take care.

I echo most of OM's words as well with the exception of me ever being in a snow storm such as this one, I have not.

What where all your snow totals? I ended up with about 30" being dropped on my house..

30" is a good snow fall.I went through the Blizzaed of 77 in Indiana. My mom owned a motel in this small town.I stayed on the 4th floor at the time.I awoke the 3rd morning of the blizzard to look out the window where all I could see was smoke coming out of the drifts that covered two story homes. went a month and a week before they could even get equipment into the place.Folks were not able to go anywhere unless you crawled on snow drifts.In which my cousins and myself did.We had to travel about 3 miles to a store.We would stop on the way digging folks out so we could get in to get warm.Never seen anything like it since. My ex brother n law had an old Ford 4X4.when the garders came through it had snow stacked telephone pole high.we took a car hood and a chain.About a dozen or more would jump on/whoooo you talkin about Fuuuun.Bouncing up each side of those drifts It was fuuuun,but folks were constantly being thrown off.Thats what we used as sleds as kids around here.Build a fire at the top of the hill and one at the bottom.we used horses to drag the car hoods back up the hill.About a half mile hill.Your talking about some serios speed at times. I'm to old for all that any more.Kids these days won't get off the couch or out of the house in the winter. They get tired from sprinting on UO.hehehehehehe God Bless

We were supposed to have gotten slammed by the same storm.But it missed us.I am not mad about it at all. Gun season for deer coming up on the 12th of Nov.Then let it snow.I'm ready for some deer jerky.Make ur tongue slap ur jaws kinda stuff.

My parents are in Springfield, MA. I just spoke with them and they still do not have power. My sister in South Hadley, MA just got hers turned back on yesterday afternoon.

Springfield, MA received 26" and South Hadley, MA received 28"

Oh Queby. i wont kill dem all.LOL They are so populated that folks are all the time wrecking or hitting them.They need to be thinned out some.I am just the guy to do my part. YUMMMMMMMM
