New name for Clan

One of our top ranking members suggested to me that if we are going to get another Clan started, that we should consider starting out with a new Clan name. That was not something that had crossed my mind until it was mentioned yesterday in a PM.

Maybe we should consider another name. The member that mentioned it pointed out that it would probably help us if we had a new name in order to not have any problems with or hard feelings from people who we may have banned, kicked or had issues with in the past.

It does make sense to me that if we are going to start anew that we completely start over in all areas with the exception of a new forum. The forum that we now have should remain simply because we have all the ban files, Administrative files and other info already on this forum, and besides, it is a TON of work to set up a new forum, believe me, I know this very well, I built this forum basically from scratch and there is a LOT more to it than it probably seems.

The name on the forum should be changed to match our Clan name of course and I think that can be done fairly easily but I have not actually looked into that, I can check it out once we get things sorted out and if for any reason the forum name cannot be changed, we will just have to bit the bullet so to speak, take a couple of days and build a new forum. I have total respect for Marn and I have always paid my respects to him by keeping the forum up and running as MarnsMarauders however, if we make a Clan name change, then we will have to change the forum name too.

Maybe some of you could help with suggestions on a new Clan name. You can PM me with your suggestions if you have any.

Also, I am paying close attention to all of the people who are logging onto the forum now and getting involved with this new undertaking and also to those who are logging onto the forum and are not showing any interest in starting over. That does not necessarily mean anything other than who will be members of the new clan and who will not. I totally understand that some people will not want to do this, that is not a problem of course, people change and so their interests has changed as well, I totally get it.. I just dont want to leave anyone out who wants to stick around..

So finally, please, if you are wanting to be an ACTIVE part of the new Clan, let it be known. I am still the same ole Pun as I used to be and I believe that all of you know I am a pretty easy going guy.

I wouldn't know what to even consider bringing up for a new name. I'll leave it up to Papi, Badger, and others.

but quick question, what game(s) are we on? cod 1, uo, 2, and 4? or which?

Well right now we do not have a Clan server. That is what we are working toward figuring out and that is what game or version of CoD we will go with.

I personally like the idea of CoD2 because we have already done 1.5, UO and of course MW4 and MW4 was a flop all around for us. We will get it put together very soon I assure you, just wanting on more input from everyone who is going to stick around with us.

Hang in there and we will get it figured out pretty quick. I posted somewhere that I would like for us to be up and running within @ 10 days or so if not sooner.

i think cod2 would work, alot of players, mostly europeans so timezones with new members would be tricky

As for games, not sure on the COD 2 prospect till I update my computer system... I know cod 1 works fine. Not that my vote counts

I've yet to come up with anything, also as well, a buddy of mine gave me a GREAT deal on a Alienware 14. Nice littel i7 (mobile processor of course) of a monster. I've already got CoD 2 setup. Just have to finish setting up a couple of more things but I can play tonight

Not sure what name to go with guys. We can put it to vote poll but I would rather get a list of Clan names that are all very good and then vote on one of them, that way no matter what name is voted in, it will be a good one. If we put in names that are just average and the average name gets voted in, we will be stuck with it because a Clan cannot change its name over and over, we have to make a decision and stick to it, so lets get a list of really good ones and go with a vote poll.

Termi, you have a very good idea however, had a couple of people who felt it would be inappropriate to use the Lord's name or a letter of His name for a fighting Clan name. We will certainly show everyone that we are a Christian based Clan though.
