Cod Crashing, Need help!

Ok, I don't know why but for the past few days, my cod has been crashing. I'm playing on the lowest graphics and on minimized screen, don't ask why, its just how i like it and for some reason, it keep just crahsing on me. Theres no error, it just crashes. Mojo told me to delete a file so I did but it still crashed. Does any1 else have some advice?

Try full screen see if that works.

do you get an error message? Are you using XP or Vista?

Mine does it too sometimes. For one, my computer is not that great. Its a cheap Dell D600 with an unknown graphics card. Usually it doesn't crash on me too often but usually it does when there is a lot of lag or if my computer overheats (another problem I have).

But yea, just be sure no other program is running in the background while your playing, instead of Teamspeak of course. And just follow the previous advice.

Yea, I always make sure I have nothing else running corn cause I play on a laptop. I get like 30 fps.

30? ouch, I usually have 70 - 90 fps when my computer is at full speed, Once my ram gets too hot it shoots down instantly to about 2 - 4 fps. Which once my fps goes down there, I get off cod for the day. ;-)

update ur graphics and use a cooler if its getting hot "like most laptops do"playing COD. I use a laptop too buddy.

good suggestion frank, I havent thought of updating my graphics. But I actually have a cooler, its basically a laptop stand with five fans on it. Works pred well.

Radish, mine has done that sometimes, but it is rare; usually it does that to protect your computer; sometimes when it gets too overheated it can melt or damage some of your precious hardware inside the computer, so it either slows down the computer to prevent it from overheating or it shuts down.

i have found that the ram and a good graphics board will take care of all that.For the dell,go to Tiger direct or new egg and you can up grade fairly cheap.I had a single core B110 dell before i built this one.I Upgraded the graphics and ram and was playing crysis on it.so Corn you may want to check those sites out bud.It would make you a happy camper.Im not much on laptops,so i dont have much to say about that subject.lol God Bless fellas

Thank you Corn, Marn, Mojo, and Pun for your advice. I just have a question, can you get graphics cards for laptops. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1501. Also, is it hard to install or should I have the guys at best buy do it if I buy one?
