Sniper Tags

I think we need a new tag method for the sniper tags. Using the current tags for sniper squad results in cutting off the names down to 3 or 4 characters depending on what your rank is. I know we've been discussing what we should do and I think the only way to get around it is to somehow come up with a tag that is a single letter "S" of a different color. No characters then framing it. I agree with what Marn said that it shouldn't be following the name like Shifty originally had it but at least with one character we can be in the squad and still have our identity.

What you can do is change the color of the S with the {msM} tag thing that miight work but i dont know its up to you guys just a little tip or what ever

Yeah I tried that but I still wasn't able to get much out of the name. Fatboy's suggestion is unique and certainly problem solving but i don't think that Marn would approve of changing our MsM tag configuration

I tryed on the game with the little s being black but it still shows up as grey. but with the one i posted i could see my whole name.

I am sorry that you guys are having issues with the tags. I dont understand why it wont let you put the tags in completely. We will get together shortly and figure something out. Sorry for the issues but there is a solution. Also, thanks for the tip FATBOY, we may have to resort to something like that.

I think we need to separate the S from the MsM tags. We will come up with something and thanks for the ideas Phoenix and everyone. Keep posting your suggestions and maybe by tomorrow evening we will have a solution. Thanks

Personally I think that if you just put a red S on the end of the name it will look distinct enough but I dont know if that's a problem for some peoples names.

Well we tried that at first but marn doesn't like it...and in the the big man (marn) gets the final say and im just fine with that.

Was anything ever finalized or this problem solved? I think we'll need Marn or Pun's approval before we can make any changes to the current configuration.

i dont know if this will help much but it would look cool if it was at the end of the name
like this:

or

but it might be too long

Why don't you just put like a * at the end of the name or something like that just put a red star at the end of your name ...

That is what I have suggested to some while we were on ts. We will have other symbols as well for other insignia and we will have a legend on the forum that will let everyone know what the symbols are. Just hang on a bit and we will get it together, we were set back a little on time with Christmas and the holidays. We should have something in place by the 1st if not sooner. Thanks

Yea I agree with Rad although I'm not a sniper but it looks like crosshairs. I'm sure the admins will think of something great.

k this is what i was thinking for the tags

for the head sniper (aka me) it would go

HD╬ all in red at the end of my name
2C╬ for the second in command (still not chosen yet)
LS╬ for the long shot sniper (he is the tactical one that creates confusion, and surprise)
then just ╬ for the regular recon guys (still not chosen yet)
this will all be red at the end of the name

tell me what u think!!!!
