keep at it raven , I remember when I had started. It was frustrating at first. Enjoy the game and dont go overboard with it as I have in the past.

Raven,
One of the best ways to learn is to spectate some of the better players. Watch what they do, routes they take, how they aim, where to throw nades, etc. You will be surprised at what the better players do that you never thought of that will help improve your game.
Good luck, we were all there at one point.

lol aegis.
raven: if u keep moving it will help bring your deaths down and consequently ur kills up. this makes u a harder target as you will not be targeted first

Re: A Lil bout me
I agree with Smash, spectating players who have a high kill rate to death ratio will help you learn the game. You will also discover there are different ways of playing based on your personality. Some play frenetically. (word of the day Papi ) They are great and have great scores but I get dizzy when I spectate them and there is no way I would enjoy playing that way. Others lurk and snipe and find places to hide and shoot. They too have great scores but one could fall asleep spectating them.
Find what style works for you and you will enjoy the game more.
I also used to experiment with different weapons to find what I liked. Each game I would use a new weapon. When I found weapons I was comfortable with and had success with I stuck with them.

Re: A Lil bout me
good tips miss Kennison,
Style is important in the game. Dont play a way that is uncomfortable to you, for this will simply 1: not be fun, 2: may do worse than usual, and 3: mess up your previous style you had.
an important part of the game that is not a part of style, is tatics. Knowing the directions of the map, knowing usual positions of the enemy, and making your self unpredictable.
Knowing the map comes with experience with the certain map, just play that map a lot and understand how things usually go with flow, strategy of others in that map and so forth.
Knowing the usual posistion of the enemy is helpful in having an upper hand in more fire towards them, a surprised and scary feeling on the enemy. And an overall confidence in what you are doing.
Making your self unpredictable is very important in playing call of duty. Running different directions, dodging bullets, flanking the enemy, and faking the enemy in popping your head out of walls is very important. This comes through experience with the controls of the game, use of objects around you, and deciphering what the enemy will do.

Re: A Lil bout me
I play different depending on what map I'm on. I do agree spectating some of the better players will help. Some of us(Frank, Marn, and myself) regularly have 100+ kills and may be good ones to watch. I was accused of hacking the other night for my technique of jumping around A LOT, was told 'you dont move right'. Not sure what that means but I learned it from watchin Smash's 10 y/o son BOLT play. Smash said Bolt plays piano and is quick w/ his fingers so i figured since I play guitar I may be able to follow that style. Jumping up,sideways, and lay down and back and forth very quickly makes you a hard target.

Re: A Lil bout me
Thank You Kenni and evryone for your advice. I will deffinatly take it and use it. I know all too well about the jumping around thing, iv seen alot of that and i think it looks funny but it does seem to be affective.

I forgot to add the "oldman style" of play: distract your opponent by talking to them while they are trying to play. When your opponent stops to type an answer to your question shoot them. There are some who have this style down to an art.

Re: A Lil bout me
Hey Raven, welcome to the MsM family.
On the topic of game-play strategies, standing still to lure people into a bash and lobbing 'nades across the map seems to help me a bit
btw, watch out for those admin smites and frank's tommy...they catch you off guard with those... lol jk bout those smites
I play a bunch, and I hope to play with you in a game sometime.
