Which Server

Hello everyone,I have been noticing that our rifle and No run and gun servers arn't really being used.I never see anyone on them when I am on.I am thinking about letting one of them go.It doesn't make much since to pay for them when no one is even using them.That's throwing cash away.So we may vote on which one to get rid of.I am going to get with PUN and hash it over.But you are welcome to give your opinion on the matter.If you are a MsM member that is.God Bless you all

Yep, you are right Marn. It doesn't pay to keep them if they aren't being populated. I think with the small number of active players in 1.3, it makes it hard to get the numbers to make them necessary so to say.

And Musik, that may be the case. But the reason I don't go to the rifle servers (other than MsM) up there now is because they are always SD with Harbor as the map. For me personally, the sitting around when you get dinged in the head makes it hard for me to go play those servers. Even if the map rotated to something other than harbor would make it more interesting. I believe it is just the low number of players overall.

Yeah we have tried the Rifle server as a SD server more than once and it just does not stay active either. I think the TDM is the best way to go because most players dont want to sit there and wait for everyone else to die before they get to play again. The SD server stayed populated for about a month then it died off. Rifle servers are always slow usually no matter what maps you run or what gametype.

I say toss the rifle server.

We can always rotate game type periodically on the No Run and Gun server if we want to.

I'm with Merceri, if one goes I say it should be rifles. Sometimes when we play on the no run and gun we will ask if they want to play all rifles. If they do we will. It would be easier to ask if people want to play all rifles than it would be to ask do they want to play no run and gun. we also have some on the no run and gun server who will only play rifles even when the rest of us are playing all weapons. They just prefer to sit back and snipe at all the crouched players.

I would like to keep the no run and gun server.

I have tried them every which way.if you can't get one person on,then you can't get two or more.They used to be full most of the time on TDM and every thing else we put it on.people just arnt coming on the rifle server.

Marn and I have been discussing the issue and have just learned that we have been paying double for the servers so please, who ever sent donations please send another one to match that one ok. Thanks


Lol just kidding about the double donation but we have discovered that we have been paying double.

We will get the server situation worked out soon. Its just that there are no reason to pay for a server that no one hardly uses. So thanks for the input and we will have a decision shortly.

I would recomend to get rid of the rilfe server. There are plenty of rifle servers and seems like they get the traffic. Keep the all weaps and no r&g as our all weaps is the most popular and the no r&g is unique setup.

I think we should get rid of the rifles server. not many people play it soooo.

I think on the No Run and gun server we put it at different gametypes like Retrievel, Headquarters, or Deathmatch, or even Search and Destroy!!!! These would be played with att guns also maybe a moveable mg42 to help defend in headquarters.

Can you all tell me what you think of my idea.I think it is out of the ordinary so it will bring more people. Just a thought

Rifles is active if you have people who take the innitivie to be active in it, i used to only play rifles when in MsM and it seemed always populated. Just somthing i have noticed, But it is your servers and yes, there are plenty rifle servers in 1.3 that stay active

very tough decision you guys got there, I personally would stay active on sd with dif maps like we had before because my comp has a tough time with most maps on all weaps and I think n r-n-g would do better if we used a normal map rotation with the customs at mod-admin discretion so that if we did run a custom we could make sure the other players can run it. The customs are awesome but most non-members dont have them. Auto-download is the ONLY thing I think 1.5 has on 1.3.

Yeah, the custom maps kick non members frequently when we are playing no run and gun. If I watch the clock I can switch the map before people get kicked but I don't always get to it before it happens.

i was wondering what you all thought about ALL Weapons Headquarters, Retrievel, TeamDeath Match, or S&D all in ALL Weapons!!!!! Just a thought. Tell me what you all think

I'd say that Rifles could be spared. When SurkuS was around he got people on there but ever since I've always seen it empty.
R&G is one of the unique parts of our clan with all the custom maps, so I think we should try to keep it if at all possible.

It will probably stay that way for a while then it will drop off. If it dont it will be the very first time and we have done the sd 2 other times before.

We put the No run and gun server back to stock maps. The custom maps are still in the main on the server but not in rotation. Maybe that will get it populated again. Let us know please.

I like the NR&G server the best. I am one of the rifles people that kennison was talking about. lol Let's try to get more people involved on the No run & gun server and maybe eventually throw some customs back in... down the road.

I also like Fuzzy's ideas about the moveable MG's

Trooper, we can always change to a custom if everyone playing wants. We should ask first and if they want to we can change it to that particular map. Remember, no votes just ask on TS and especially the visitors. Don't change unless everyone wants.

what if on No R&G we did other gametypes like DM Headquarters, or Retrieval, CTF, Or S&D! We also could put in moveable MG's to protect the flags for CTF

We can as long as everyone playing wants to. We have to remember to be considerate to those who are guest on our servers and to our clan mates. We should not exert our wants over theirs.

I think we should have a vote poll on which server to get rid of and then we can discuss ideas for the one that we keep
