Hard to do anything about the running and gunning when Admin/mod is not around. You can explain that the No Run and Gun server is a unique server with a different playing style.

As far as the language goes just ask to stop using the offensive nicely. Do not argue or is will escalate worse. Provide screenshots then if and when we see them again we can take care of it.

I was in one and a half maps with the Chase guy Nova is talking about. I have to be honest, I didn't spec him, but I didn't witness any running. His score was pretty poor. He took quite a few bullets from me while he was camping on the water tower or lugging around a panzer. I am not saying he wasn't but I didn't witness any myself. He may very well have ran on Dark.

Dark Nova, I know you asked me to do something about him, but he was not running as far as I seen. I could have spec'd him but I was limited with time during my short lunch break. I know it would be nice to have a mod/super mod or admin on at all times to correct some of the behavior or rule breaking but it is not logistically possible. Many things take up their time.

The things that Merc suggested are the right things to do. And if the offender makes the mistake to again break rules or act up when a mod is on, well, he will be given his medicine then.

Yeah we need a better way to police this server. Lake, Sirius and I were tonight and there were about 5 people running... and all we can do is tell them to crouch, but they don't listen because we can't enforce it.

try talking to them by name and above all as ppl (not just no r-n-g binds) get theyre attention try to talk to them and explain the rule and the reason. If that doesnt work all you can really do is ignore them and keep as many of the others on the server following the rules until a mod does come on or simply take a break from the server and cool off. I assure you guys I've had alot of experience with this I was a member of a no r-n-g clan for 2 yrs and didnt have rcon til well over my first yr there. It can be frustrating and there was a few times I simply left before I did or said something I would regret. We have a good many mods and very active Admin so rulebreakers will get caught (Uncle Frank cracks his smiting knuckles in the background)

Yeah, this would happen on SoC sometimes when mods weren't on (thank you Treason for the tireless policing that you did so often). Ask politely for them to follow the rules. Some don't know or understand the rules they just see a populated server and go to it.

If a mod or server admin is on the server and they are asked by an MsM member or guest for help, that should be the first thing they do and then go back to playing after the issue is taken care of. If we had mods or people with rcon who got around to moderating the server and helping people as soon as they had the time then where would we be. If you have rcon capabilities please make helping keep the servers straight your first priority and if you dont want to do that please let the rcon go to someone who will. Sincerely. Pun
