Concerning MsM servers

They will have some down time as you can see. This is a copy of an email that I received from VCoD today.


Server upgrade - expected downtime

Dear Valued Customers,

Vcod Servers would like to announce a server upgrade that will result in a few minutes of downtime.

We are upgrading our link speed from 100mb to 1gb... this is an increase of speed 10x faster than the current service. The upgrade will most likely be carried out today, 24 Feb 2011, and result in about 15min of downtime... barring any unforeseen difficulties.

So for us that are a little slow when it comes to computers, what will this mean for game play? Faster, slower?

it will help create less lag since more data can be transferred at a time, but you may or may not even notice it to much. You still have the possibility of lag from how far you are from the main server but with faster rate can help it

Will it help my aim? Will i be so fast as to become invisible on the battlefield?

If not, sounds like a good upgrade anyway.

i dont know if it is related to this at all... or if it was just a weird day yesterday, but all day yesterday i've just about the worst lag i've had the entire time i've been playing..
