Knee Problem

Some of you know that I have had quite a problem the last several days with my left knee, the knee that was replaced back in 08. Anyway, for those that dont know (well you may not really care but) I will explain quickly.

I had to make an appointment for today with the Orthopedic Surgeon and let them check out my knee because last Friday it felt as if something broke in it. PAINFUL + .

Turns out, the xrays were good, meaning the joint itself is ok and no hardware has broken loose it appears, however, I am scheduled for an MRI tomorrow and the Surgeon thinks he is sure that the cartilage between the knee joint has busted/broken which means surgery next week, if thats the case for sure. We will see.

Be careful if/when you need to utilize a brace. Mindy has been using one for about 2 weeks and was in the ER today with a blood clot in her Calf from using it to much. Can we say, "Lovenox for 7 days and Coumadin for 6 months"....ugh.

The doc gave me a shot of cortisone in the knee. The xrays are ok so that means the bones in the knee joint are good but he believes that the cartilage is broken between the joint so I am having an MRI done tomorrow evening and he is so sure that its the cartilage that he has tentatively scheduled me for surgery 10-24. I go back to the doc this coming Friday for the MRI results.. We will see. It does feel much better since the cortisone injection though. Thanks for the support folks. God bless you all.

If the cartilage is broken, cortisone will only take you so far. Prayers to you for the best recovery possible my friend.

Prayers have been going up brother. You may think that it stinks to have to do it.BUT! God is in control and he put the right Doc there for ya. The Lord will for sure have his hand in it. And it's going to be all good in the end. A New knee that you can wear out again.LOL God Bless ya bro
