How's CoD 1.3 doing?

I just want to stimulate debate on the status of our dear old game.

I feel the game is doing quite OK because since I've been mod/super mod, I have logged 205 different names of wich 175 have different guid numbers, considering about 120 of those I have added to my list over the last month or so. Keep in mind I play mostly the allweaps server on weeknights.

This, to me, means there are still some new players coming to our server (or old ones with new CD keys ). I was also wondering if we could try to find some way to bring some of those new players to the clan?

Indeed nice observation! Well we can get active on Recruiting again but this is the thing, we DONT want any of those old players with new guids coming into the Clan if we have banned them and they have gotten new guids right, that just spells TROUBLE for all of us but, if you can feel some of them out to see their playing styles, scores, etc, then maybe you could see who may be a noob or not and of course take some approach that way.

We would love to grow the Clan as always but we want good folks and not trouble makers and on the other hand, if we get some of the old ones into the Clan who have gotten new guids, time will tell and we can deal with it accordingly or at best, maybe they have straightened out and could be good members now.... I believe he keeps his own spreadsheet, but yes the GUIDS are compiled via rcon. I do the same. I see a new GUID or two every few times I get on it seems. There are definitely new people trickling in... although sometimes it seems people like to get banned as fast as people join lol.

I do screen shots of players' GUIDs and information each time I play. Good work though Pea. I think there are new players coming on fairly frequently.

saw this post so I want to let you know that i tried to set my new pc to play with another cod game and I saw and it seems that I would be unlocalized for the server when I tried tonight; bandit was there.....

I have to set a lot but got some prob like with my old pc too.

I would like to help you with any issues you may have on your new PC and Badger is very knowledgeable with new PC's as well. He and I are both custom computer builders so therefore we do understand quiet a lot about these type compatibility issues so please, let us help you if you are having any problems ok. As for our game, I feel very good about it. I always answer questions that the new players have regarding joining the clan, and I have seen a few come on board over the last year. I think this game has a very unique niche, and will not attract a vast majority of steady players. However, that said, I believe we are healthy and alive, and I have been on several nights when we are nearly full. People respect our clean playing environment. Keep it up!

I love this game for several reasons, the nostalgia, the simplicicy, my love for WWII history, and having a step-father who served in WWII makes this game somehow a connection for me. I tried to recuit my 20 year old son, who is an avid XBOX live gamer, but he doesn't like the simplicity of CoD 1. I'll keep working on him though.

Hoping to get back to playing sometime soon ... just too many projects going on and the my computer (after a video card upgrade) can't run COD any longer. The iMac I would play on also recently died -- however, I have a backup I'm hoping to bring home and set up.
