Heart Attack Prevention -Importance of Water Empty Heart Attack Prevention -Importance of Water

You know those who say they don't want to drink anything before going
to bed because they'll have to get up during the night to go to the bathroom!!

Heart Attack and Water - I never knew all of this! Interesting.......

Something else I didn't know ... I asked my Doctor why do people need
to urinate so much at night time?

Answer from my Cardiac Doctor -

Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright.
When you lie down and the lower body becomes more level with the kidneys,
it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier.

I know one needs minimum water to help flush the toxins out of our body,
but this was news to me.

Correct time to drink water... Very Important.

From A Cardiac Specialist!

Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body:

2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs.
1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion.
1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure.
1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack.

Mayo clinic Aspirin - Good information.

Dr. Virend Somers, is a Cardiologist from the Mayo Clinic who is the lead author
of the report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of the American College
of Cardiology.

Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 A.M. and noon.
Having one during the night when the heart should be most at rest,
means that something unusual happened.

Dr. Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that
sleep apnea is to blame more times than not.

1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night.

The reason:

Aspirin has a 24-hour half life, therefore, if most heart attacks happen in the
early hours of the morning, the Aspirin would be strongest in your system if
it was taken at bedtime at a reasonable time.

2. Aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest for years as long as the
temperature is stable and the moisture levels are low however, when Aspirin becomes
bad, it has an odor of that like vinegar. If you Aspirin smells of vinegar, throw it away.
When handling old Aspirin, use gloves to ensure no trans-dermal action.

Bad Aspirin is not deadly but it can have adverse issues on pregnant women and small
children.

Please read on.

Something that we can do to help ourselves and others!

Bayer now makes a crystal aspirin that dissolves instantly on the tongue.
They work much faster than the tablets.

Why keep Aspirin by your bedside? - It's about Heart Attacks -

There are other symptoms of a heart attack besides the pain on the
left arm. One must also be aware of an intense pain on the CHIN as
well as nausea and lots of sweating, however, these symptoms may also
occur less frequently.

Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack!!

The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their
sleep did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you
up from a deep sleep.

If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and
swallow them with a bit of water or even better, open a small package of
crystal aspirin and pour it onto and underneath your tongue and let it dissolve
for @ 5 seconds, then swallow it with a bit of water - THEN CALL 911 >

Remain CALM and phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by.
*** Say "heart attack!" - Say that you have taken 2 Aspirins.

Take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door and wait for their arrival and...
DO NOT LIE DOWN!

A Cardiologist has stated that if each person after receiving this message would
copy it and pass it around and/or send it to 10 people, A LIFE WOULD BE SAVED!

I have already shared this information. What about you, please pass it around and
save a life! You may not ever hear that your positive actions concerning this message
saved a life but rest assured, IT WILL!

Heart Attack Prevention -Importance of Water Empty Re: Heart Attack Prevention -Importance of Water

Staying hydrated does wonders... a good rule to go by is to drink half your bodyweight in ounces per day... so 150lb guy = 75 ounces, or roughly 9 cups. One cup is 8oz.

> When doing physical exercise or activities, follow that rule but also add an additional 24 oz that day.

The vast majority of headaches and overall body aches and pains are directly caused or irritated by dehydration - most people live chronically dehydrated!! Just because you aren't "dying in bed" dehydrated doesn't mean you are fully hydrated.

Drink Up!! I like to carry around a 32oz bottle and try to drink it AT LEAST three times per day. I definitely am low on energy, motivation, and get more sore working out when I neglect to drink this much.

It might seem like a lot and you might pee A TON for the first few days until your body gets back to its healthy "water weight" but you will feel tons better, I promise.

Also goes very well with adequate sleep and a balanced diet. Smile

Heart Attack Prevention -Importance of Water Empty Re: Heart Attack Prevention -Importance of Water

So true brother. Back when I was training all those years for my full contact fighting, I would drink about a gallon of water each day and in the summer I would drink about 1-1/2 gallons a day each and everyday. Of course after your body gets used to it your body will not hoard water.

Our bodies have this built in mechanism that causes us to hold fluids if we are not drinking enough water but when we start drinking it, our bodies will begin to discharge all the extra water/fluid that we dont need and in the process it will help us to get "cut" more with better muscle tone among all the other great benefits of drinking water.

My wife will not drink but probably a glass of water every 3 or 4 days and she wonders why she has problems....., lol go figure.... She lives on Mtn Dew which is totally horrible.

Hydration is of utmost importance when you are training and actually, it is just important whether your an athlete or not.

Good advice Badger, true wisdom speaking there partner.
