My mothers's passing

My mother Joanne passed away wednesday morning.

Over 6 years she fought cancer (multiple myeloma) with determination and faith. Considering the pains she suffered and endured all along those years, her passing is more a deliverance then a tragedy.

The tragedy happened in 2007 when the diagnosis came down on her. As much as I am saddened for the years she lost for herself and her loved ones, I guess this is God's will and we must find peace for ourselves. I now will have to put my energies on looking over my dad, who's most affected by my mom's passing.

I wish to thank everyone from MsM, members and guests, who offered prayers and good wishes on various occasions when I asked for uplifting.

Now we look to the future, maintaining my mom's memory and trusting this all part of the Lord's plan.

So sorry for your loss Pea. She battled for many years the way it sounds. I tend to think like you, it is a deliverance more than a tragedy.

I lost my Mom 23 years ago. She was in the hospital for a month at the end of her life and I can relate to what you are saying. It was a blessing to see her suffering end. She was a strong believer and I believe she is in a better place.

Take care of that Pops of yours and also yourself. The pain does lessen over the years but I don't think there is a day I don't think of my Mom and the events in the last 23 years she has missed being a part of. Well, at least being a part of in this life. I would have loved for my son to have known his Grandmother.

I wish peace for your family Marc. The memories of your Mother will last forever. God bless you.

Peasoup, I love you brother! I know it is difficult, I lost my mother in 2010 and I miss her everyday. I think like you do because I hold on to the memories that I have of mom, just as you, and I know that indeed it is all God's will and plan for our moms.

I pray that you will find solace in the memories of your mom, knowing that she loved you deeply and that surely you will see her again someday.

Sometimes, as you say, passing can be more of a mercy than anything else and God has it all figured out much more than even we can comprehend sometimes.

My prayers and thoughts are with your Peasoup, I trust all will be well for you brother.
