Suregery for Carl

Post by [WoF]GoA.Pun on Mon Jul 14, 2014 9:29 pm

Hey guys, I will be on tomorrow night for a fair amount I think. Wednesday, Thursday and probably Friday I will not. My father in law is scheduled to go to Nashville on Wednesday afternoon and he will have the surgery Thursday morning early around 9 am if all goes as planned. My wife and mother in law will go to Nashville and take Carl Wednesday afternoon and I will go on to Nashville that evening late. We are all going to stay Wednesday night and Thursday night and possibly even Friday night depending on how well Carl does in surgery.

Please keep him in your prayers guys and I know you all have been praying for him and I really do appreciate that very very much. He is one of the nicest men that anyone could ever know, really a great person and I hope to God that its HIS will that Carl will come back home with us. He has really had a lot of complications for several weeks now and so we are all very edgy about the whole ordeal. I can post from my phone I think, not much of a cell phone poster but I will give it a shot or call Vixen if something happens and he can let you guys know.

You all are me extended family fellows, I really mean that. I hope I can spend more time with you all very soon.

God bless each of you and thanks again very much for all the prayers and continued prayers.

Thanks again to all for the prayers for Carl.. The surgery did not go well at all however, he is back home now and doing ok. The surgeon could NOT actually do anything to help him after all. They opened Carl up in the OR and found that the artery was way too close to the back of his heart to do any type of repair on it or stint in it, I actually thought that he was going to have a bypass surgery but he did not need that, its his aorta that is the problem.

Carl seems to be getting depressed because of the lack of anything that can be done. The doctors sent him home with strict orders to lose at least 50 pounds and to cut his sodium intake to 200 mg or less each day.

It must really be tough to be getting well up in years and have severe health issues such as he has. We have done all we can do to help him. Its all in God's hands and those are the best hands anything can be in I believe.

God bless each of you.

That's a bummer about the surgery. We'll keep praying. Hang in there!

Thank you all for your prayers for Carl, he seems to be coming around some I suppose. I will know more about his attitude this week. He is strong and we are all thankful for that however, he has been through a lot in his life with health issues and especially the last 12 years or so... I just pray he does not just give up on himself. I will do everything I can to keep him positive.

Thanks again for the prayers and Badger, if you fellows would do that, it would be greatly appreciated man.

God bless you all.
