i saw on 82nd forums that they are disbanding on 1.3

I also know that 1.3 is goin down in a month or 2. my question to the admin is...where will msm go?

You guys have treated me good (other than rad's lack of mercy...lol) and I will remain a loyal member of what you have made Marn. I know that if we move we're gonna have a job keepin the servers clean...Im just curious as to where we are gonna go.

If you have xfire and add the msm servers to favorites you can still get there once IW shuts down the master server. Not sure if this will help since most of the random players will be lost when the master server is gone.

i know how to IP connect...but only msm clan members will be there...we gotta have someone to fight...

Suggestion:

Intense communication with friends, people on our servers, and collegues about these circumstances and providing information to those who would like to play on our servers when the MS does go down?

Thats what I meant about losing the random players. I will really miss this!!! I have so many of the new games and keep coming back to CoD 1.3.

This is a very important topic, where do we go? My guess is 1.5 but I know there's a lot of criticism about hackers and such. It would mean that I'd need to purchase the deluxe mac edition because the patch for 1.5 doesn't work on my intel mac. But hey, I'd be willing to throw in some money if it meant I'd still get to be in the clan. I'm with Phoenix though, I'm here to stay no matter what we decide.
Its hard for me to believe that they are going to shut it down. Phoenix do you have the link to where this was announced?

I have heard good things about 1.1, though downgrading is a difficult task.

But, we also need to learn if this is true or mearly rumors. Things spread easy through our small 1.3 community. Looking up the facts would be best.

good idea sat and what ever the circumstances i am here to stay also. everyone has been so amazing and so wonderful that i don't wanna loose the clan. I am so proud to apart of this. As far as where we're gonna go, i don't really know much about the different versions and such so i dunno which would be a good place to go other than 1.5 and like Rad said about the suspicions of hacking and stuff i just really don't know all i really know is that I love this clan and i don't wanna leave.

This was brought up long ago on the Rpc forums and sgc as well. the more new games that come out in the CoD series the less likely they are gonna be willing to bear the cost of running the MS for an outdated game. The first time I had heard this was back in January and the rumor was it was shutting down in February. Mebbe this is just another rumor but it does pay to be prepared.

Why do you say this? I play frequently on a 1.5 server that is well moderated and they are able to keep it clean. They are very strict and don't put up with hackers or any kind of abuse. As I see it you can have good, clean, fun servers if you are willing to moderate them.

This may simply be a rumor, I have heard this rumor when I was in 1.1, many times. Everytime the MS crashed, that rumor was spread. In my opinion, it may be another rumor.

I will educate you all on 1.1 because I have played on it for years :

Many of the servers are not very clean and not well moderated in the eyes of MsM. The only that is bannable for is ticking off the mods or obvious hacking. Which is a good thing. Cursing is widely accepted.

Playability is very different. Scoped weapons have no delay when you go into scoped mode, therefore quick scoping is prevalent, which I like a lot. It makes scopes a lot more advantageous. Scoped weapons are very popular on 1.1 and some server isolate themselves simply to them.

proning is almost instantaneous when you push the button, creating a really nice way to dodge bullets, and you can simply push space bar and you will go right back to standing instantaneous. It is very quick compared to 1.3. Dodging is used a lot with veteran players and have seemed to master it.

There is no longer a jumping limitation, when you jump once and then a second later jump again, the second is the same height and the first one. I like this advantage. This is also the same with the third and fourth and so on jumps.

You can also jump on peoples heads/bodies. This provides more advantages on jump maps, and also contributes to a Harbor glitch where you can actually go into the water behind the fences.

Most servers are on harbor and on sd. TDI is on 1.1, and they love Harbor. Not all are like this, there may be one all weps server. But once again, things may have changed since I have been on.

I havn't heard anything about shutting down 1.3. I have heard it in the past.But as you can tell,it never happened.I would like to know for sure.If it goes down.I will either have to move it or shut it down.And I have to say.I have no desires to shut it down.we will have to wait and see,I guess. I have UO, I think I've played it 5 times. SGC tried to make that move and it didnt pan out well. There are a lot of players there tho. There are hundreds of servers.

Base assault, yeah. I like it without the tanks, however.

i couldnt hit anything with my rifle on U.O.
