The custom maps

Yeah!

Just finished downloading the maps. Two questions:

1- Who creates all these maps? Does he get paid?!?!
2- Last week I had a problem connecting to the allweap server with the notification "unpure file". I closed the game an reinitiated it and everything was fine. This happened to anyone? Any explaination?

I get the the unpure file on occasion, not sure what brings it on. But I do just as you do and it seems to be fine after that.

Oh Pea, on that map creation thing, I may have exaggerated a bit, I don't really do all the maps....ok....I don't really do any of them, but you can still send checks if you like.

Peasoup, the unofficial Activision maps are created (built) by anyone who chooses to try their hand at map building. It is a very meticulous task and I have given it a try but just dont have the amount of free time it takes to build a nice map. I have seen some maps there were pitiful excuses of a map and of course there are maps that are outstanding. There is a contest that runs for map builders and the winners get prizes.

The un-pure pk.3 message usually happens if you have jumped onto a few different servers. You did what you should have done by just closing out CoD and restarting it. No big deal. It happens to all of us at one time or another or more.

You can also get an un-pure client message if you minimize your game, download the file, bring the game back up and then try and enter the map.

You have to close out the game completely then download the game and re-enter as usual.

im trying to make some maps. it is wayyyy complicated and difficult. i dont know how to do much yet i just know to make a square map. LOL
