Needin Prayer

I know this is in the wrong section but it's really a prayer request and an announcement in one.

I will be running a 5k (about 3.25 Miles) in about 5 weeks. I haven't ran a race in about a year or so. I used to run in at least 2 or 3 a year but haven't been able to. I will start really training day after tomorrow.

I may just pretend Frank is chasing me with a Tank or a Flamethrower.

Good luck to ya Trooper. I wish I could give ya some advice but the last time I ran farther than to the fridge for another chicken leg was when I was on my highschool track team. And the Lord knows how long ago that has been. I could send ya my old running shoes. They kinda look like Forrest Gump's.

Have fun! I'm training for a Tough Mudder Click here for info (October)..it's gonna be tough as nails but I think it will be amazing fun.

Try c25k.com.. it's a 9 week program but you could probably start halfway through if you've ran before. Might help, might not lol

Thanks guys for the well wishes. I run a 8 min mile now so I want to run the race in around 27-28 min. I ran yesterday morning, Probably while yall were all in bed. lol Did the 5k in 31 min. That may be good enough for the rest of the 506 but it's NOT good enough for Easy Company, lol

Well if you ever make it to Kentucky we should go for a run haha.

I think my last 5k trail time was about 27:30 give or take. I need a running partner!!

Back when I was in the military I could run a 2 mile in 12:37 or at least thats what I think it was, pretty sure it was but now, I would be lucky to get 2 miles in 1 hour, 2 minutes and 37 seconds..... Ok ok maybe I am not that out of shape but I do need to shake a lot of rust off. Good luck Trooper

You can say it Troop. but no I didn't run against Jesse Owens in the Berlin Olympics. Although I did chase down Jesse Swenson in second grade for stealing my cat's eye and one of my steely marbles.

^^^Dat's Funny.^^^ I want one! That will be my Highway vehicle. Atlanta 275 morning or evening comute.ya need a tank or an armored vehicle to change lanes. You should see the funny way they wave thier fingers to say Hi. Instead of waving sideways,they wave towards Heaven. Southern thing I guess.New fangled way to say hi .LOL Makes me wanna move to phoenix.Where you only just get shot for not running through a yellow light.. caution light is a medal to the pedal signal. .5 to 8 lanes on both sides of some streets. No left lane turn light.You have to floor it before it gets completely red to go left.They get Mad if you dont..and It's a fine example of Alpha and Omeaga.There's no beginning or end to the traffic at morning and evening commutes.And 1 out of 3 have no drivers license and are most likely in a stolen car. And after T-Boning someone at a traffic light They run for the border faster than lance armstrong going down hill.Just started having Flash back fellas..And thought this is what I was needing at some of these times.LOL I was going to tell ya about Detroit,DC and Ny afterr that.but Thought,Id better stop.I may be talking about some of YOU.LOL .LOl ^^^^But I want one of dem^^^ Mg42 on the back with a 20 MM vulcan mounted to the Front of it.^^^^ LOL going on my Christmas list.
