CoD 4 Modern Warfare TIPS

Hi All,
The servers have returned. (Big Show ) I wasn't very clear on what servers were not there. Sorry for that, I wasn't seeing any servers that page on my machine was blank. It may have been for you also, but Thanks for the verify. 
I was able to get the 1.51 mod downloaded yesterday (Internet at work is waaaaaaaay faster than home) was going to take 27 minutes at home VS 4 minutes at work. I will need to read some of the past post to figure out how to get this mod to work

Ranking-Up.....

I have found that if you play on a server with only five or six people in a smaller space like the "Killhouse" map (Free-for-all game) you can rank up faster. Just hang in there and be persistant, and agressive. Most of these guys are really good. Also, once you unlock weapons, the MP5 is a better gun. I have found it to be more deadly. Use the "better bullet penetration" option too.

How do you lay trips with the claymores, or c4 devices?

Term to put down claymores you press 5 and for c4 i think it 5 but not I not sure tho.

Termi Depending on how far you have ranked up and what you have unlocked ,.... I acquired the perk "Double Tap" which increases your rate of fire. This has been night and day for me and I have actually finished a few games in the top three.

Well, I've come a long way in the last few weeks, now a five-star commander. My son, who is great at CoD on XBox live, helped me with option set up and selection. I'm able to finish mid-pack most of the time, there are some amazing players out there. One thing I have learned is that you need the "deep impact" and another bullet effect perk. I found out after getting killed over and over by players who were shooting me through walls. Also, if you can play on a server that has double XP you will rank up faster. I used the last-stand perk for a while with my gold plated Desert Eagle pistol. That was good for some last ditch kills. The two bullet options though are better for a higher score I am finding out. D'oh!   Thats how they shoot through walls.  I sometimes use "overkill" perk and carry an M4 and as a second weapon a 50 sniper rifle and was puzzled why that wouldn't go through walls. Thanks for the tips Term

I downloaded a demo of COD 4 MW yesterday, Its just a single player one map but just on the normal setting I got killed a lot. Hate those nades, anyway It lots of fun and I can practice there until........

Badger -- I am usually on every night. I always check our server first, then if no one joins I go to another server that is good to get some practice on, OldGitsHavingFun. It's a UK server so your ping will be a little high, but you can still play well. I usually finish in the top 10 or so. They have a lot of traffic. I will be on our server tonight at 8:00 PM eastern, so join if you can.

Just want to give everyone a shout out and say hello.  Also, please get on our server (CoD4) - Marns Marauders and play.  I have been on with several new people from around the world.  They like our server for several reasons, and I have asked them to tell their friends about MsM.  I play on other servers briefly to see how their game play works and compare the other servers to ours. It has helped me learn a lot about CoD4 and what other players are looking for. Some servers are very strict with their rules and will kick you quickly for such things as bunny hopping, camping, spawn killing/camping, cursing (which is a good thing), and recruiting (for which I was banned from a server named "CampOvergrown"). I wasn't really recruiting, I simply made a statement that other servers aren't as strict on bunny, spawn, etc., and I wondered why theirs was. I stated that ours was a G server, no cursing, but we were not as strict on bunny and spawn. When one player asked me for the name of our server I told him, then I was promptly perm-banned... LOL.  Anyway, please play on our server, we have tons of fun!!!
